When Demons Walk (Sianim)
Of course I love Briggs Wolf series - Mercy/Anna & Charles - but for me, this would have to be my favourite Briggs book. How could I not love it - the heroine is a thief and a magician - pulled into the machinations of court life she goes undercover as a rich man's mistress. There were laughs, action and a gentle unfurling love story. I always wanted a second book with these same characters - but I suppose that's just a ringing endorsement of how much I loved the book.
